Working alongside two field trip cohosts, the Field Trip Host will ensure the safety, enjoyment, and active participation of the children throughout the trip.
Nannies may or may not be in attendance for the field trips.
This role involves planning and organizing various activities, such as scavenger hunts, art projects, and other interactive experiences.
The Field Trip Host will also capture memorable moments through photography and provide a comprehensive recap of the field trip.
The ability to maintain a clean driving record is essential as the Field Trip Host will be responsible for transportation to and from the field trip destinations within a 20-30 mile radius of their home.
Completion and payment for a background check are required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Arrive at the field trip meet-up spot 30 minutes prior to the scheduled meet time.
May be responsible for driving 16 passenger van Host and facilitate fun, engaging, and educational field trips for a maximum of 20 children.
Collaborate with two parent chaperones or field trip cohosts to ensure smooth operations during the trip.
Plan and organize activities such as scavenger hunts, art projects, and other interactive experiences suitable for the age group.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for the children throughout the trip, ensuring their well-being and addressing any issues that may arise.
Take pictures during the field trip to capture memorable moments for documentation purposes.
Provide a detailed recap of the field trip, including highlights, activities, and any relevant information, to share with parents or school administration.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including transportation guidelines, during the field trip.
Maintain a clean driving record and responsibly transport children to and from field trip destinations within a 20-30 mile radius of the host's home.
Complete and pay for a background check as required for the position.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
Strong organizational and planning skills to coordinate field trip activities effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and cohosts.
Creativity and enthusiasm in developing engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Ability to prioritize safety and maintain a secure environment for children.
Proficient driving skills with a clean driving record.
Willingness to complete and pay for a background check as part of the hiring process.
Flexibility to adapt to various field trip destinations within a 20-30 mile radius of the host's home.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with parent chaperones or field trip cohosts.
